No, she's not two. She's 22.
Emma spends a lot of time out in the cold because I kicked her out.
Just kidding.
She's off at college and walks everywhere. Baby needs a hat. Or two.

Last year I made her this penguin hat.
This year I whipped up a Minion hat. And by "whipped," I mean that I cursed quite a bit while making the eyes. They're my nemeses. Do you have any idea how difficult it is to make a tiny crochet round? Be afraid. Be very afraid.
And here it is on the head of my child.
She has an affliction where hair grows from only one side of her head.

Cute Hats....Talented hands to make it which I do not have when it comes to yarn and tools to make them with! I tried but would end up very frustrated to the point of tears. My mother used to laugh at me when I would just throw them down in frustration. Anyhow, I have grown to know that I leave that talent to somebody more able than myself!
ReplyDeleteAwesome hats!! Really love that Minion one!! Very talented!!
ReplyDeleteStopping by from the Serenity You Saturday Link Up! :)
Thanks Elina!
DeleteI see an Etsy shop..... Little Shop of Hats.
ReplyDeleteOMG!! You are one talented hombre!! Those are amazing hats and yes you certainly do have a beautiful daughter!! My son-in-law would love that Minion Hat. Phil, you should become the next hat cover(boy) model.....so hot. Pinned! (not the Phil pic)
ReplyDeleteShe is beautiful, and I love the hats. Poor Hurricane has to go out to buy hats because her mommy has no talent. She also refuses to be on my blog because she is a party pooper. She's afraid that her students will see her and ask her stupid questions. I don't know why anyone would think that anything about my blog is odd or unusual.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
That you can crochet and actually MAKE something (besides a chain 32 miles long) is, in itself, a major achievement. Not to mention the fact that the hats are adorable. You deserve an award. So does Phil. Any man who would try on the hat, then let his pic be taken and put on the web is aces in my book! (ACES? My age is showing.) You da bom.....that's better......Dona
ReplyDeleteHahahaha! 32-mile long chain!!!!
DeleteYes, I can't believe he lets me put those pictures of him on the blog....
The text is funny, the pictures are funny, and you managed to make crochet hats funny, girl, you're good!

ReplyDeleteExcellent! You should make one. ;)
DeleteWhat a fun hat! You are pretty handy with a hook! Your girl is beautiful. Did she inherit your sense of humor as well as your good looks??
ReplyDeleteFunny woman. Love the hat! Your girl looks lovely and Phil just made me laugh. As for the blog, read more feature, creating 'After the jump' summaries using Read More Link makes your homepage load fast and keep things organized and well managed. I will try to send you a tutorial link.
ReplyDeleteThe hat, (and family) are adorable! You've got skills!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Patti
Beautiful and talented.
ReplyDeleteDon't get excited. I'm talking about your daughter.
You're not too bad either. There. I said it.
My thirteen-year-old grand-daughter went out for Halloween as a minion. That did not set well with me, but I said nothing after I shrieked and my daughter laughed. I can crochet those eyes easily. However, I could not crochet the hat. I have a talent worth nothing. Who needs little circles of crochet>
ReplyDeleteI know of a couple little boys who would love this. Thanks for visiting Night Owl Corner....just stopping by to check out your blog too!

ReplyDeleteYou should be ashamed of yourself, you don't get the love of despicable me and the minions? Andi Andi Andi you need to fix that ASAP! I love the hat I love the minions.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen Despicable Me, but your adorable hat makes me (almost) want to see it! Your daughter is a cutie, and I hope she appreciates how talented and awesome her mom is! ♥ If you get a chance, I'd love for you to link this up at my party, Treasure Box Tuesday! :D
ReplyDeleteVery cute!!! The eyes turned out beautifully! Sad about your daughter's hair only growing on one side of her head...I guess it's good there's kind of a half shaved hair thing going around right now.
ReplyDeleteGreat work on the minion hat! I also like that penguin hat! Thanks for sharing at Submarine Sunday!!

SO SO cute! I have never crocheted anything in my life. That's probably a good thing or I'm sure I would be making covers for everything. Maybe a bra for my car?
ReplyDeleteDude. I can't sew buttons. I'm AWED.
