happy 14th birthday eddie!

Today marks Eddie the Schnauzer's unofficial 14th birthday! I say unofficial because he was roughly two years old when we adopted him and, as of today, it's been exactly twelve years since he came to rescue us.

He did have teeth, once upon a time. And more fur.

He's somewhat adored.

And sometimes bored.  ;)

He's been through it all! Like Thanksgiving with no floor or kitchen!

But that wears him out and makes him want to sleep on my underwear.

He's a great foredog.

Keeping an eye on everything.

And then finding himself in the most ridiculous situations.

He helped me paint my chair...

Sometimes he thinks he's a sheikh.

But that makes him sleepy, too.

He likes to try out the new furniture.

And he tries to sneak in my travel bag.

He loves to drink with Gramma.

And he helped me re-cover my rocking chair...

He's so adorable!

And sweet...

With just a touch of attitude.

But mostly just sweet.

Sometimes wooly...

He likes to play Cards Against Humanity. And cheat.

Gets his nose into everything.

Loves his snuggly bed.

Such a yawn!

He gets hot when he's outside.

Galloping in place, getting nowhere fast, with his ears flapping in the nonexistent breeze.

He's kind of a big deal.

I could do this all day because I have 3,472,846,113 pictures of him.

So I'll leave you with a video of this silly little pup when he had a little more get-up-and-go than he does today.
