THAT IS NOT WHAT I SAID |
I said CLOCK, people. And I have a big-ass one.
I woke up the other day and suddenly I'd been at my current place of employment for 20 years. I got a coffee cart and a big-ass clock.
The other thing I got was depressed because I swear it was just yesterday I was a 24-year-old smokin' hot babe who had just begun her illustrious career a job that paid actual money.
So I got a link to a website where I could pick out the gift of my dreams.
And I have to say that I made the right choice.
This thing kicks huge ass.
Now I'm going to put in into perspective for you.
(And show you one ugly rug.)
(And show you one ugly rug.)
The clock measures 4 feet in diameter.
And it's hanging out in the nook area of the piano room.
And it has some serious clock rock.
We sure picked a doozy for the first thing to hang on our new walls!
We sure picked a doozy for the first thing to hang on our new walls!
For my next major event, I'm going to order a better area rug.
And some photography skills.
Oh. And some baseboard.
Oh snap...I stopped at Tuesday morning on Wednesday Afternoon and picked up this rug on my way home from work. What do you think? Tell me true...
This rug is Eddie-approved.
Okay, so I still need baseboard.
And photography skills.
Because they suck clock.

I Love your big clock! Seriously! You made a great decision. I like the rug too. Especially the 2nd photo. It's hard to see accurate colors in pics.
ReplyDeleteI like your clock and big is good... as long as it works properly.
ReplyDeleteThat's the first thing you've hung on the walls? It's great, but I can't live without stuff on the walls, although Willy Dunne Wooters hates stuff on the walls. He says it's distracting. He did not like it when I hung my Winnie-the-Pooh clock that has my name printed on it in the TV room. Too distracting, he grumbled. He'd go insane over your clock.
ReplyDeleteI think I should get one.
Love,
Janie
Now that clock makes a statement! And your new rug goes waaaay better with it and makes the whole nook cohesive and look very put-together, as they say.
ReplyDeleteAh! 24. Dagan had defied all predictions, defied his doctors and was still alive and kicking and almost a year old (Nov). He's now almost 40! Where did the time go? LOL! Congrats, you old employee you!! :):)
I meant to say shocked his doctors--LOL!
ReplyDeleteDoesn't every woman want a big clock?
ReplyDeleteWhat time is it? duhhhhh. I'm such a plain Jane that I liked the rug you hated. I'm sending you my address because I know you're nice enough to send it to me...............overnight it, okay? And you can keep the big......uh........I like the clock too.
ReplyDeleteLove the clock and the rug! Staying clean, but you make it very hard. (Maybe that pun was intended.)
ReplyDeletelol
DeleteThat is a mighty big clock... wish I had one of those, especially with all of the clock/telling time questions on Nat's homework lately. I could tell him, go look at the big clock!! Wow, wonder what you'll get for 30 years! Maybe something even BIGGER. ;)
ReplyDeleteThat's one huge ass clock!! Good choice for that wall. And I love the new rug, looks quite classy with that clock!
ReplyDeleteI could literally throw my kids on there and you could have them as hands, that's one huge clock. They must live you I've priced clocks that size....whoa! You're still a smoking hot MILF xxx
ReplyDeleteIf feels like that should be your introspection corner. But with all the ticking, maybe that's also where you plot your vengeance against all who have wronged you. Either way. I like it.
ReplyDeleteYou, my dear, are a clock tease.
ReplyDeleteI have not had a clock in ages. I keep looking at them, and cannot decide. I want one like yours. And, the rug is great. Good luck with the baseboard acquisition.
ReplyDeleteWhat time is it?! I call dibs on the chair Eddie is not sitting in.
ReplyDeleteWell...size DOES matter in the real world. I have some serious catching up to do on your progress! AND, imagine all the FUN comments you will get as the feeds pick up THAT title!!
ReplyDeleteI like big clocks and I cannot lie. No, really, I'm not lying. It is go-geous. (And little ones, too. I didn't want to exclude our classic.)

I love the new rug and clock! Poor little clock has some serious clock-envy! I have an idea looking at your pictures.. how about a big buffet or refinished vintage dresser under the clock? Seems like you need something big under it. Of course you didn't solicitate my opinion.. or did you? Keep us laughing with your posts!
ReplyDeleteI am sorry, I ordered the large size :) Makes a bold statement. I like it
ReplyDeleteI like it! and wait you got a coffee cart too? do tell?
ReplyDeleteAlso, yes to the rug.
I like clocks many years ago I gave my parents a big ass clock its a coffee table clock but they don't use it as a coffee table but both my parents really like the clock.
ReplyDeleteCongrats at sticking to your job long enough to get a big ass clock! Love the rug Andi. Where are you hiding your coffee cart?

ReplyDeleteI love big clocks and yours sure is big! I guess the little scene stealing clock has been put in her place. I love your new rug. I'm never going to get better photography skills because it's just so much easier to grab my phone.
