Hi. I'm Eddie.
My Mom's friend Janie Junebug lets her doggie Franklin write blog posts, so Mom decided to let me write one, too.
And it's a really important one!
First off, here are some pictures of me so we can get better acquainted.
My Mom tells me all the time how cute I am and she's taken no less than 1 million pictures of me.
I don't have any teeth so it cracks her up when my tongue hangs out.
I love to snuggle with Fred. He's the dog that my Grandma made for my Mom when she was a little girl.
And here's what I look like after my Mom lets me lick the spaghetti sauce bowl. (Which almost NEVER happens. I don't know what got in to her that day, but I was sure happy she had a moment of temporary insanity. Schnauzers like spaghetti sauce.)
If you've seen the "farewell tour" posts, you know that my Mom and Dad are selling my house. This is the only home I've ever known (except with the first people who had me and I don't remember them anymore but they gave me up and my Mom saved me and I've been the happiest doggie in the world ever since).
Every time someone comes to look at my house, my Mom and I have to leave and go drive around or hang out with the neighbors.
I like going for a drive and hanging out with the neighbors, so I'm all about that.
But when I come home, I smell funny things and I bark my furry head off for a few minutes because I know someone has been in my house and I don't like it not one little bit. My Mom just laughs at me.
But this post is about something important.
Wasn't that exciting?
Wait. I didn't tell you yet?
Oh!
Mom and Dad sold my house!
But they told me I get a new one, so I'm pretty happy about that.
And I don't have to suffer the smell of random strangers coming in my house anymore.
Mom posted the very last farewell tour post and later that same day they got the offer on our house. She thought that was pretty wackadoo.
She didn't really think the offer would go through because the buyers had to put their house back on the market and sell it first.
But they re-listed their house the day they made the offer on our house and THEY had an offer on THEIR house 3 days later!
Now that's REALLY wackadoo!
So I have to say goodbye to my house, but my home is where my Mom and Dad are, so they're taking me with them and not leaving me here. Whew!
If you want to say goodbye to my house too, here's the whole tour:
Well, I have to go help Mom pack!
Or maybe I'll just take a nap.
I hope I can come back and visit again soon!
-Eddie
Congratulations on your first post and on getting a new house that's just for you. Oh. And Mom and Dad. But you're in charge, Eddie. We love your spaghetti face.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie and Franklin
Hey Eddie...I'm glad you don't have to suffer all those stranger smells anymore. You'll move to your new home soon and mom will feed you spaghetti again to make you feel at ease there. I dig your spaghetti face.
ReplyDeleteI hope you'll come back and tell us all the new house.
Love this :) I want a dog so bad, but my son is allergic to them... boo! I love that photo where he is all messy from the spaghetti sauce! ha!
ReplyDeleteHOW EXCITING!!! This is just the cats pajamas--er maybe the dogs sauce? :) Congrats on your new digs and slurp that cute little tongue on your mom's cheek to let her know how happy you are to be getting rid of all those extra peeps wandering through your place. How smelly!
ReplyDeleteYAY!! Congrats Eddie! That was quick!!! I'm sure you and Mom and Dad will be sooo happy in your new house. Your spaghetti face is too cute!
ReplyDeleteDear Eddie. My mom and dad sold my house in Indiana. I had a HUGE fenced yard and I can run like the wind. My beard looks like yours when I get my "ice cream" several times a day. (THEY think it's just a little skim milk in a lot of water, but I know it's the real thing!) Then dad follows me around on the hardwood floors, wiping up my drips. lol.
ReplyDeleteThey moved me far from home and I'm ALLERGIC to this place!!!!
When we go home to visit, I cry and raise a terrible fuss when they pass by MY HOUSE that someone else is living in!!!
We DON'T forget, but they think we do.
Before you have to leave, PEE DOWN THE FLOOR REGISTERS and leave a little something of yourself there for the next people.
Excellent news Eddie, and for the record, it cracks me up too when your tongue hangs out. Sort of like a ___ crazed love starved ____ dog.
ReplyDeleteGod bless all doggies, and especially miniature Schnauzers, and the people who love them.
ReplyDeleteSo nice to read about you, Eddie. Good luck to you and family on the upcoming move.
ReplyDeleteEddie!!! Cutest doggie ever. :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats, man! That's a big fat exciting relief!!
Wow! A new house! You will have to smell every inch of it. How exciting!! :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on selling the house....er....EDDIE!!!! And your tongue picture is adorable - quite remarkable given the fact that I don't like animals. Woo-hoo!!!
ReplyDeleteNice to meet you silly pup :) so excited about the house, EEEYYYYEAH!!! (That's like a screeching yay)
ReplyDeleteWell I hope to hear more from you Eddie, a new house to explore and make your own................wow........
ReplyDeleteDear Eddie,
ReplyDeleteI've been living with my human for 8 years and we've had 4 different homes. Sometimes it's really hard to get used to them, but when we arrived in the cottage, weridly enough I knew in one second we were home. It's an amazing feeling and I hope it'll just the same for you with your new house. I'm warning you to be careful though, when you're a really happy pet, others can feel it and want to come and settle there to. In these situations, I spit and hiss, but I guess you can bark and see if it works.
Much love (only because you're far away),
Shadow, The True and Only (I wish!) Little White House Cat
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! To your parents I hope the strangers are happy when you move out.
ReplyDeleteExcellent post Eddie!! Your typing skills are amazing, and I love that you are just the sweetest little model there ever was! Tell your mom and dad that I am so happy that they sold their house, and I hope that your move is stress free! Looking forward to your next post too! Cheers.
ReplyDeleteNice job Eddie! Your mom should feed you spaghetti every day. All the other dogs get spaghetti every day...dont' let her trick you into thinking it's a special treat! Congrats!
ReplyDeleteAwww Eddie!!! You and Ginger need to be boyfriend and girlfriend. She already has a boyfriend, a big old standard poodle, but if you ever want to see the funniest thing, it's a big old standard poodle trying to be amorous with an itty bitty mini schnauzer. Good times. Hope you like your new home.
ReplyDeleteHow clever to post from Eddie's point of view!!! Congratulations on the sale of your house girlfriend! Prepping, staging, selling, buying, all that crap is soooooo stressful! Here's to more relaxing times ahead and enjoying your beautiful new home super soon!
ReplyDeleteFondly-Lisa
Such s cute post. We have a baby Schnauzer, Dante. Love the spagetti mouth on Eddie. Congrats on selling your home.
